Yuvraj Singh is a former Indian cricketer, who is known for his aggressive batting and excellent fielding skills. He was born on December 12, 1981, in Chandigarh, India. Yuvraj made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2000 and went on to play 40 Tests, 304 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 58 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for India. He was a left-handed middle-order batsman and a handy left-arm spinner. Yuvraj was a match-winner for India in limited-overs cricket, and his performances in the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup were instrumental in India's victories in both the tournaments. In the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, Yuvraj became the first player to hit six sixes in an over in a T20I match, achieving the feat against England's Stuart Broad. He was also named the Player of the Tournament for his all-round performances in the tournament. In the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, Yuvraj was the leading run-scorer for India, with 362 runs in 9 matches, and also took 15 wickets with his left-arm spin bowling. He was named the Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performances in the tournament, which helped India win the World Cup after 28 years. Yuvraj retired from international cricket in 2019, and his contributions to Indian cricket have been widely recognized. He has also been involved in various philanthropic activities, including his YouWeCan foundation, which works towards cancer awareness and prevention.
