Shikhar Dhawan is an Indian cricketer, born on December 5, 1985, in Delhi, India. He is a left-handed opening batsman who made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2010. Dhawan is known for his aggressive batting style and his ability to score quickly. Dhawan made his mark in international cricket during the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, where he was the leading run-scorer of the tournament and helped India win the trophy. He continued his good form in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he scored two centuries and helped India reach the semi-finals. Dhawan has played over 130 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 35 Tests for India, scoring over 6000 runs across both formats. He has scored 17 ODI centuries and 2 Test centuries, and has a highest score of 190 in Tests and 143 in ODIs. In addition to his international career, Dhawan has also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for several teams including the Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians.
