Rohit Sharma

 Rohit Sharma is an Indian cricketer, born on April 30, 1987, in Nagpur, India. He is a right-handed opening batsman who made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2007. Rohit is known for his elegant strokeplay and his ability to score big runs in limited-overs cricket. Rohit has played over 220 One Day Internationals (ODIs), 35 Tests, and 111 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for India, scoring over 14,000 runs across all three formats. He is the only cricketer in the world to have scored three double centuries in One Day Internationals, with a highest score of 264, which is also the highest individual score in ODIs. He is also the first player in history to score two centuries in his first appearance as a Test opener. Rohit has been a key member of the Indian team in all three formats of the game, helping India win the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, and the 2015 and 2019 ICC Cricket World Cups. He has also been a successful captain of the Mumbai Indians team in the Indian Premier League (IPL), leading them to five IPL titles. Off the field, Rohit is known for his love of football and is a keen supporter of Manchester United. He has also been involved in various social causes, including animal welfare and cancer awareness. In 2019, he was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, India's highest sporting honor, for his outstanding contributions to cricket.
