Ravindra Jadeja is an Indian cricketer, born on December 6, 1988, in Jamnagar, Gujarat. He is an all-rounder, known for his left-arm orthodox spin bowling, his athletic fielding, and his aggressive lower-order batting. Jadeja made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2009 and has since played over 50 Tests, 170 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 50 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for India. He has taken over 200 wickets in Tests and ODIs, and has scored over 5000 runs across all three formats. Jadeja has been a key member of the Indian team in all formats of the game, contributing with both bat and ball. He was a key member of the Indian team that reached the final of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, and was named the Player of the Match in the semi-final against New Zealand. Jadeja has also been a successful player in the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing the Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Lions. He has been a valuable contributor to the Chennai Super Kings team, helping them win three IPL titles. Off the field, Jadeja is known for his love of horses and owns several horses in his hometown of Jamnagar. He is also actively involved in social causes, including animal welfare and environmental conservation. In 2021, he was named as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year for his outstanding performances in 2020.
