Mohammed Azharuddin

 Mohammed Azharuddin is a former Indian cricketer and captain of the Indian cricket team, who was born on February 8, 1963, in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He was a stylish middle-order batsman, known for his wristy strokes and his ability to score runs quickly. Azharuddin made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 1984 and played 99 Tests and 334 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for India. He was known for his consistency in ODI cricket, where he scored over 9000 runs, including 7 centuries and 58 half-centuries. He was also the captain of the Indian cricket team for much of the 1990s. Azharuddin was a controversial figure in Indian cricket due to allegations of match-fixing during his captaincy, which led to a life ban from cricket in 2000. However, the ban was lifted in 2012 by the Andhra Pradesh High Court, which ruled that the evidence against Azharuddin was not strong enough. Azharuddin was also a successful fielder and a part-time bowler, known for his ability to take crucial catches and break partnerships with his off-spin bowling. He took over 150 catches in international cricket and picked up 156 wickets with his off-spin bowling. After retiring from cricket, Azharuddin has been involved in politics and has served as a Member of Parliament from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He has also been a cricket commentator and analyst for various media outlets.
